Shirokami-Ojikari riverside park is about half an hours drive from the central Ajigasawa, and is a large open space of 3ha of the banks of the clear Akaishi River. Across the river is the graceful Shikarigadake peak, and several types of trout can be seen swimming in the clear water. Beautiful shades of red, blue and yellow can be seen during the Autumn and Spring from the various benches and paths set around the park.
